Lockdown Blog – Katie and Bridie
Nurse Katie and Receptionist Bridie share their experiences of lockdown…
KATIE
I’m Katie, I am one of the nurses at Eclipse. During lockdown I have found a new love for baking (especially chocolate brownies) so during this time I have found that with my free time I have been baking a lot.
On the upside of what’s going on, I have spent a lot more time with my family. All of us have busy lives day to day however having nowhere to go and nothing to do had really made me appreciate what great people I have around me and will cherish this time we had before the mad rush starts again.
The downside of what’s going on is not being able to see my grandparents and friends. Waving/talking through a window really isn’t the same however, I understand that it is necessary.
I am most looking forward to having a big family get together with lots of food and drinks flowing when this madness ends. Oh, and also the PUB!!!!
BRIDIE
Hi, I’m Bridie and I am a receptionist at Eclipse. I have still been working during this lockdown which has given me a slight sense of normality during this strange time. With the rest of this time during the lockdown I have spent a lot of my time baking, cleaning, trying different makeup looks and facetiming my family. Having more free time has enabled me to bake things I love such as banana bread, cookies and my first ever cheesecake!
I have enjoyed creating and experimenting different make-up. Before lockdown I would spend a lot of my time seeing my family and friends; as I’m not able to see them facetime has been amazing.
The things I’m most excited to do after all this is see and hug all my family, go out for a meal, visit the cinema and celebrate everyone’s birthdays and for everyone to be together again.
