Dentist, GDC 258181
I graduated from Newcastle University in 2015, and was awarded my degree with Honours, with Merit in Clinical Dentistry and Distinction in Academic Dentistry. I completed my foundation Dentistry here at Eclipse Dental Care and am now an associate. During my Foundation training I won regional prizes for best case report, best academic research presentation, and best overall performance in foundation training.
Since qualifying I have also worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Leeds General Infirmary. In this role I was caring for patients who had sustained traumatic injuries to their face, head and neck cancer patients, and also carrying out lots of oral surgery. In this job I presented work nationally, had work published I the British Dental Journal, and was awarded regional prize for audit. I have also worked for the Community Dental Service in Leeds, where I cared for phobic paediatric patients and adult special needs patients. These 2 jobs have provided me with invaluable experience which I use in my day to day practice.
I achieved Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) in 2017 through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow. I have an interest in educating future dentists, and am therefore currently completing a certificate in Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from Newcastle University.
Outside of dentistry I enjoy crossfit and skiing, and I am a qualified scuba diver. I also enjoy travelling, in 2014 I travelled to Cambodia where I provided dental care to a rural village and the inmates of a rural prison.
